Discussion List

There is a FIELDTRIP email discussion list. The aim of the list is to facilitate the discussion between both users and developers of the FieldTrip toolbox, to share experiences and to discuss new ideas for MEG and EEG analysis. New releases and updates will also be announced through that list. Please send an email to fieldtrip-subscribe@donders.ru.nl to subscribe or to fieldtrip-unsubscribe@donders.ru.nl to unsubscribe to the FIELDTRIP list. Only people who are subscribed to the discussion list will be able to receive and post messages.

If you do not want to participate on the discussion list, but still want to be informed about updates, you can join the FIELDTRIP-NEWS list. That is a very low volume list to which only the fieldtrip maintainers can post. Please send an email to fieldtrip-news-subscribe@donders.ru.nl to subscribe or to fieldtrip-news-unsubscribe to unsubscribe to the FIELDTRIP-NEWS list. Why is my message rejected from the email discussion list?

It might be that you receive the message

You are not allowed to post to this mailing list, and your message
has been automatically rejected.  If you think that your messages are
being rejected in error, contact the mailing list owner at
fieldtrip-owner@xxx.xxx.xx.

when you try to post a question to the email discussion list. The most frequent cause for rejecting messages is that the email address from which you are sending the email is different from the one that you used to subscribe to the email list. E.g. you might use john.doe@example.com to send messages, and j.doe@example.com to receive them. On your side it might appear that both email addresses are the same and messages to both might end up at the same location on your computer, but to the email list server they are different.

To ensure that your email reaches the email discussion list, you have to ensure that the address configured in your email client as the “from” address is the same as the one you used to register.
